George shapes the narrative on major tax and fiscal policy issues by: publishing commentary and viewpoints in publications such as the Wall Street Journal, Tax Notes, and Law360; engaging in policy debates on social media networks such as X and LinkedIn; serving as a source to reporters at outlets like the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg News; and speaking at conferences, panel discussions and other in-person and virtual forums.

George developed expertise in navigating congressional politics and process through 15 years as a senior staff member in the U.S. Congress, including as: Senior Tax Counsel to then-Speaker Paul Ryan in the U.S. House of Representatives; Chief Tax Counsel of the House Ways and Means Committee; Legislative Director to a U.S. Senator; and Counsel to the House Budget Committee.

With a law degree and an LL.M. in Taxation from the University of Florida, George has worked in federal and international tax policy at global law and accounting firms, as well as in the U.S. Congress. George has extensive experience consuming the economic research, developing policies based on that research, and drafting legislative proposals to implement those policies.
